CD Companies is a leading commercial Design, Architecture & Engineering firm headquartered in St. Louis, MO with regional offices in Edison, NJ, Portland, OR, Tampa, FL, Branson, MO and Grand Rapids, MI. For over 63 years, we have maintained a strong client base in the retail sector and have successfully expanded our market into childcare, assisted living, entertainment, hospitality, healthcare, workplace, restaurant, and industrial sectors.

CD Companies is seeking a Retail Program Architectural Project Manager. This position will be responsible for driving successful business partnerships and project management strategies between a retail client and our design teams. They will be the direct liaison between CD Companies, our staff, and client leadership to ensure an efficient and top-quality process in producing design documents for multiple projects at a time.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a retail project program and all required discipline scheduling for projects
  • Assist with the preparation & coordination of design documents and construction documents for all design disciplines.
  • Ensure that design reviews occur at the designated stages of the projects.
  • Submit project deliverables to the jurisdictions requiring approval and follow up until permit is issued.
  • Responsible for communication with client leadership
  • Perform designs for projects in base discipline.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the AEC industry and an understanding of the design process
  • Experience running a retail project program
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to identify and solve problems and resolve conflicts.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and effectively balance workload.
  • Experience with design software, AutoCad and Revit, is a plus
  • Ability to travel is a plus, generally 1 to 2 days at a time.
