From unique and new store concepts to prototype development and site adaptation for national chains, developers and shopping center owners, CASCO’s architecture and engineering teams plan and design structures to support the unique needs of our clients.

Best Buy

Starting in 2021, we teamed with Best Buy to develop and implement online order pick-up areas accompanied by curbside pick-up. This included a designated staff area and a new exterior exit point at multiple existing stores. In addition, we have provided other implementations such as facility expansions, down-size designs, new ground-up designs, and facility renovations for nearly 150 stores nationally.

Saks Fifth Avenue

We worked closely with the Saks Fifth Avenue Store Planning & Design Department to create a world-class retail destination for Saks Fifth Avenue. Our team completed a Self-Certified project for the men’s store in New York City. The Men’s Store is home to exclusive designs and curated offerings. They provide bespoke services, including a barber, a leather spa for footwear treatment, a tech bar, and a coffee bar.

San Diego, CA

The Home Depot Design Center

We worked with The Home Depot project managers and designers to design and produce construction documents and observations for their Home Depot Design Center concept. The projects consisted of a whole remodel of existing two-story buildings. It included the layout of the lobby, showroom, commercial kitchen, working shower display, and offices. Our work included providing lighting design and HVAC.

Bass Pro Shops

CASCO + R|5 has assisted Bass Pro Shops since 2006 with the design of fifteen ground-up and redevelopment projects with entitlement reviews throughout the United States. Most locations include themed restaurants, bowling and billiards, water features, childrens’ interactive shooting arcades, and indoor archery.

With a strong relationship, we have worked on many projects over 35 years.

The majority of the projects have been retail stores along with others being warehouse and distribution centers. These projects included ranging from tenant fit-outs, lighting assessments for remodels, and warehouse expansions.

Kohl’s Department Stores, Inc.

In 2007, CASCO joined the Kohl’s remodel team, incorporating their prototype upgrades into multiple stores throughout the United States. To date, we continue to support them and have prepared remodel construction documents for over 200 stores. Highlights of the remodels include an exterior facade upgrade, new finishes (inside and out), and restroom and lighting updates.

Bed Bath & Beyond

Since 1995, our team served as the prototype manager and preferred architectural and engineering firm for Bed Bath & Beyond’s namesake brand. Many projects involve ground-up, extensive re-development of existing spaces, in-fills, and carve-outs. Our team has worked directly for Bed Bath & Beyond on “self-developed” projects and “turn-key” re-development projects for Developers/Owners.

PetSmart

Our team has completed over 500 projects since 1995. These projects include prototype development, maintenance, ground-up, remodeling, and renovation.

We continue collaborating in their prototype development and site adaptations to accommodate their many programs. Programs include grooming, self-dog wash, training, daycare, boarding, and Banfield Veterinarian care.

Ross Dress for Less

Our team first assisted in developing DD’s Discount Prototype in 2007. Since then, we have designed takeover site adapt projects nationwide for DD’s Discounts and Ross Dress For Less formats.

Currently, we are assisting with its store expansion into the Midwest and Mid-South United States, with most recent project locations including Missouri and Texas.

Dollar Tree

Our team is involved in each store’s process, from the site survey to the permitting process. These adaptations include each construction set to fit the requirements of the existing conditions building to the company standards and the codes adopted by the city.

Each site is unique and requires a complete focus on all details to ensure that all standards and requirements meet the budget and the best option for the client.

O’Reilly Auto Parts

We have been the preferred A/E consultant to O’Reilly Auto Parts for the last 20 years, designing their ground-up projects and rolling out their renovation. These projects range nationwide, specifically California, Massachusetts, New York, Houston, Hawaii, and Chicago, where our permit expediting is highly regulated.

Dirt Cheap

This project was a new renovation of an existing Mexican restaurant adjacent to the original store. Much of the existing structure was retained and reconfigured / re-faced. This project was the first based on a new design concept, which was to become their image rebranding. It included a drive-up service window, a walk-in beer cooler, and a self-serve hot/cold beverage counter, developed to be part of their new image. In addition, the gasoline canopy was situated on the original site and increased pump capacity from 6 to 16.

Our team has worked with Jiffy Lube International for many years. Our work ranges from facility renovations and expansions of existing facilities to entirely new ground-up facilities.
