This month we’re celebrating a very special retirement. Paul Doering is the last founding principal at CASCO + R|5 and has been with our company for and impressive 45 years! We’re so proud of all the hard work Paul has put in to help us grow into the company we are today.
During his time here, Paul has provided expertise in many different areas, including project and account management, accounting, legal issues, and many more. He’s helped our company build strong relationships with many clients including Sears, Extended Stay America, Brunswick Bowling, Toys R Us, and more. Some of his favorite projects included an industrial plant for Guyana Liquor Corporation in South America and multiple Regal Cinemas Multiplex projects. During his new retired life, Paul looks forward to taking more trips to the country to relax and enjoy nature and going to visit his grandchildren in California and Florida.
CASCO + R|5, originally CASSIS Associates, was founded in 1959. Our company started as a civil and structural engineering firm, and soon started a joint venture to include architectural projects. In 1980, six employees became the sole owners of the company, with its new name, CASCO Diversified Corporation. These founding principals included James (JC) Alberts (President), James Govaia, James Tegethoff, Paul Huber, Ralph Shaw, and of course, Paul Doering. Our company has been employee-owned ever since, and we are now in our third generation of ownership with Daniel Cutter as our President.
We’re very thankful for our company’s growth over the past 60 years, and we’re always looking forward to the future. We wouldn’t be where we are today if it weren’t for all our hard-working, innovative employees. Thanks, Paul, for all your hard work and dedication to our company. You will be missed!
