 CASCO’s engineering roots began in the paper converting industry over 50 years ago and has spanned over 100 projects worldwide. Recent paper converting experience includes engineering and detail scoping for International Paper’s corrugated box and beverage packaging divisions. International projects are located in Costa Rico, Guyana, Ecuador, England, France, Italy, Japan, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and Venezuela.

Burrows Paper Corporation

This state-of-the-art rigid packaging plant contains the widest 8-color flexographic printing press in the United States. At approximately 275,304 square feet, this manufacturing and office facility has advanced Burrows’ leadership position in the supply of specialty packaging to the quick-service restaurant industry. ​CASCO’s primary role is to analyze engineering factors, advantages and disadvantages, and estimated costs associated with remodeling an existing facility versus a proposed new ground-up site.

Evergreen Packaging

Evergreen Packaging, located in Canton and Waynesville, North Carolina, is America’s largest producer of table-top juice and milk cartons. CASCO provided an initial analysis consisting of a detailed scope summary and preliminary cost estimates. Final analysis diagrammed operational challenges, including product flow and storage of proposed roll stock, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

CASCO provided a design retrofit of an existing warehouse into a fully functioning distribution center which includes a 2-story administrative office, receiving and shipping department complete with a pic module, conveyor, and wrapping/shipping platform.

Toys ‘R’ Us

Throughout our 40-year relationship with Toys ‘R’ Us, our partnership not only included the development of their retail facilities, but also over 20 distribution centers located throughout the United States. Scope included tilt-up and pre-engineered metal buildings, high bay and super flat slabs, traditional and cross-dock configurations, and rail systems.

Rooms To Go

CASCO originally designed and engineered the 179,000 square foot warehouse and distribution center for Rooms to Go in 2009. Our scope of work included pre-design services for entitlements and architectural, structural, and M/E/P construction documents. CASCO’s project manager was responsible for permitting in this highly regulated environment.

The Hazardous Materials “Red Room” is an important design feature in O’Reilly Automotive’s warehouse / shipping operation facilities. The Houston return center is used to receive, store, and ship returned merchandise from O’Reilly Auto Parts’ retail operations.

Home Depot Distribution Center


The Home Depot Lumber Distribution Centers

In addition to designing over 2,000 The Home Depot retail stores, CASCO is heavily involved in their Lumber distribution center expansion program. The project’s scope of work included retrofitting existing facilities to include upgraded electrical systems, new canopies, office redesign, and redesigning pavement and truck access.

​CASCO also assists The Home Depot with slab joint studies and remedial repair structural engineering solutions of their traditional distribution centers.
