Congratulations Newly Licensed Architect, Marcia Siemer!

It is with great pleasure that we congratulate Marcia Siemer on passing her final Architect Registration Examination (ARE)! She is now a registered architect in the state of Missouri!

There are many rigorous steps that must be taken to earn your Architectural License.  In addition to obtaining a Master in Architecture, one is required to clock 3,740 hours of experience under the guidance of a licensed professional in the field, then pass 6 registration examinations. Only 63% of all candidates stay the path all the way through licensure, and Marcia is one of them!

Marcia attended Ranken Technical College and received her Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology in 2009. She then went on to earn two Masters Degrees, a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2012 and a Master of Architecture from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2019. Marcia joined CD Companies CASCO division in January 2016. She has been and continues to serve as a critical member of several urgent care facilities, early childhood education facilities, and government facilities. Some of her favorite projects include the Missouri State Penitentiary Centennial Block and the Missouri State Capitol.

Marcia is active in a variety of committees and organizations. Within our firm, she founded our Women In Leadership (WIL) group and sits on our Employee Discussion Group (EDG) committee. Outside of our organization, she is actively engaged in Women in Restoration and Engineering (WiRE), Association for Preservation Technology (APT), and the Architectural Review Board for Ferguson, MO.

Outside of work and community involvement, Marcia enjoys spending time crocheting items for friends and family, hanging out with her dog Kevin, who is a Chihuahua mix, and various improvement projects on her historic home.

We are so proud of you Marcia and we congratulate you on this huge accomplishment! We are so glad to have you as a part of our team and we look forward to seeing your continued success.
