Electrical Designer – Building Design

CASCO is seeking a Designer to assist with the preparation of engineering drawings.  As a part of the Electrical team, you would be an understudy to a licensed P.E. and work closely with engineers, architects, and designers to coordinate design elements for a wide variety of clients that include local and national retail, healthcare, education, and municipalities.

Within the Electrical department, you will play an integral role that provides services to a large client base in an exciting and energetic environment. Therefore, as part of our effort to seek talented and driven professionals, we hope that you will join our team in this important role.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Project designs as it relates to discipline systems according to code and CASCO Standards;
  • Assist with client relations, project designs, and provide documentation for all phases of design and construction documents;
  • Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, civil, plumbing and expediting;
  • Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress;
  • Review design methods, procedures, changes in scope, and client correspondence with the Lead Engineer;
  • Conduct periodic job site visits and as built surveys.

 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of design techniques and software involved in production of technical plans and drawings;
  • Skill in the use of AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office;
  • Ability to clearly communicate with team members and clients in person, on the phone and through email
