Experiential Retail & Restaurant
St. Louis, MO

Sardella

With a nod from the past, the interior is a warm and inviting yet lively room which is demonstrated through the marriage of modern and traditional design language. Drawing cues from the Mediterranean, the interior incorporates clean, simple architectural forms which provide a foundation for color. Mindful use of color, as is expressed in the random patterns of blue and white tile or the marigold banquette, is not merely thought of as an aesthetic tool, but also as an emotional one. Notable elements include bespoke oxidized brass lighting and display shelving and the oak and glass diorama filled with preserved flora that welcomes patrons at the entry.

Vicia Restaurant Interior Design Dining Area
St. Louis, MO

Vicia

Vicia’s modest yet inviting interior is a reflection of rustic, industrial, and traditional design, deeply rooted in Nordic and European aesthetics. By employing a combination of raw and refined materials, our design language enables chef’s gastronomic vision to unfold. The interior is steeped in French Oak, honed Belgian stone, artisan glass tile, hand-distressed wood flooring and gun-blued steel. A variety of bespoke furnishings were designed, commissioned, and hand built for Vicia. The back bar wall combines a dramatically lit wood and floral art installation, providing an artful, seasonal celebration designed to evoke emotion. The seasonal outdoor dining area features a custom outdoor grill anchored by a modern masonry chimney.

St. Louis, MO

Four Seasons- Cinder House

CASCO’s Director of Design S. Aleksandr Malinich describes Cinder House as having “Dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows allow guests to gaze at the city’s celebrated monuments including the Gateway Arch, Mississippi River, Ead’s Bridge and Laclede’s Landing, while interiors, crafted in rich woods and smooth leather provide a comfortable level of sophistication that honor Craft’s focus on simple foods with bold flavors”.

“As a nod to the breathtaking hues of Perito Moreno Glacier, we incorporated rich, turquoise leather upholstered sofas, complemented by chairs in an earthen coloured plaid fabric and taupe leather. The lounge’s dominant feature includes opulent blue Amazonite countertops, which echo the Marble Caves in Patagonia,” says Malinich.

CASCO provided design, architecture and engineering services.

Porano Restaurant Interior
St. Louis, MO

Porano Pasta

Inspired by Chef’s European travels, Porano’s lofted two-story interior is sleek and modern. Artisan crafted oak tables and various custom furniture installations along with modern metal seating further complement the overall dining experience. Inspired by the culinary products, the color palette includes snippets of golden toned pasta colors, saucy oranges, and herbal greens. To soften the space, potted plants, including miniature olive trees and botanicals, are composed around the space. The visual connection to Europe is expressed with impressively large wall murals including a Nolli Map, an aerial diagram of the streetscape of Porano, Italy, and intensely colored wall graphics throughout. Illustrations of Italian-style buildings are merged with black and white images of downtown St. Louis. A modern wood and steel staircase takes center stage and transports diners to a second flooring dining loft with televisions and a foosball table.
